My name is Eston Parker III, I am a freelance photographer based out of Boynton Beach, FL.

My time as a photographer began in the summer of 2017 when I traveled to Cuba for the first time. Shortly after this trip, I began to take photos for the different sports teams at my high school, Hilton Head Island High School, ranging from football, soccer, and more. Shortly into 2018 and after some photos of mine were used by NFL players, I started to take photography seriously as a potential career.

After graduating from high school and visiting Cuba second time, I began my undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University pursuing a major in multimedia journalism. Since being at FAU, I have garnered a vast array of experience working with various publications and with a rolodex of individuals. I have experience working with the Palm Beach Post, the Island Packet, Hilton Head Monthly, and other news publications located throughout the southeast.

I currently work as the photo editor of the University Press, FAU’s first student-run newspaper. Working at the UP has allowed me to expand my talents in writing and photography extensively. I have also garnered great experience working in a student newsroom alongside professional journalists who serve as advisors that have helped me understand the realities of the journalism profession. I have served the UP’s photo editor since the spring of 2021, and will be looking to secure a professional career in photojournalism after I graduate in the summer of 2022.
